Key Components
- Configuration Management
- Account Management
- Fault management
- Performance Management
- Security Management
- Routing & QOS
The NMS (Network Management System) is a server based software systems enabling administrators to easily access and manage the network from anywhere in the world. The NMS provides both a graphical user interface and a command line interface to suit the preferred way of working of the systems administrators. The NMS can be delivered to the end customer as a pre-installed and pre-configured server allowing the network managers to be up and running quickly
Configuration Management
The NMS user interface allows for configuration of all network elements. The Configuration manager records the updates required and the implementation is then brokered by the NMS server to minimise network disruptions.Account Management
The NMS enables easy management of subscriber accounts managed by a database for provisioning of new users and maintenance of existing users. The NMS is compatible with existing Radius servers or can be integrated with existing OSS billing systemsFault management
The fault management system utilises SNMP traps to capture events triggered by the different systems agents. The triggered events are stored in a database allowing easy tracking, diagnosis and resolution by systems administratorsPerformance Management
The NMS manager server collates statistics from the operational networks and can generate usage reports presented in a variety of formats. The reports can be used to identify potential bottlenecks or areas of the network that can be enhanced for increased performance. The data is stored in a database allowing the systems administrators to monitor performance both in real time and historicallySecurity Management
The NMS implements standard policy based authentication, authorization and logging of systems management activities facilitating easy user management and systems administration audit trail.Routing and QOS
The NMS simplifies complex routing features enabling systems administrators to setup to fine tune the network performance according to data traffic demands. Policy based QOS is applied to both intra-node communications and user data traffic.Example Screen Shots
The NMS incorporates terrain height data to allow high level
Signal propagation modelling for coverage estimates and connection
diagnosis
Coverage polygons represent different signal propagation characteristics, typically Line of Sight (LOS) , Near LOS, and Non LOS.
Node locations can be easily dragged and dropped on the map to re-define the network topology
Link status is updated dynamically using AJAX
Secure Web based console access direct to the unit, no need for dedicated SSH client and remembering addresses or setting up VPN's where the network is remote and located behind a firewall
Integrated Script editor where update scripts can be pasted into the unit and run remotely simplifying the update or reporting process
